This service supposedly reroutes your text messages to your computer when you are in front of it. That way you don’t have to pay your carrier. Seems like an interesting idea. People who get your text don’t see any different number when you send from your PC. I am dying to know how this works… You can sign up at this link: beta.3jam.com.

It seems like the current 3Jam service lets you have conversations through text messages with your friends. They even have a BlackBerry client application that you can find at this link. The application seems to be designed for the 7100/7200/8700 generation BlackBerrys but may work.
