Samsung is hitting the Symbian hard as of late, more specifically the S60 flavor of Symbian. They have announced today a new S60 powered slider, which has affectionately been dubbed the SGH-L870. The device has a extensive feature sheet behind it, just as you would expect from any S60 powered smart phone.

Samsung L870 is not your run of the mill brushed aluminum feel slider phone. It is running S60v3.2 over Symbian 9.3. The device is graced with a 3 mega pixel camera with a large QVGA screen, capable of displaying 16 million colors.

The phone will be available in August, at an unmentioned price point. It does say the device will be extended to “all regions where GSM is available”.
