A new bar-style phone from Motorola has cleared the FCC’s approval process. Motorola EM30 look almost like MOTOROKR E8, but it loses the omega wheel navigation scroll bar and replaces it with a standard D-pad.

This particular device wasn’t mentioned in Moto’s leaked ‘08 lineup for Asia, suggesting that we might just see the GSM / EDGE device elsewhere — North America, specifically, since we have both 850 and 1900MHz here.

MOTO EM30 will be available in red and gray, perfect for leaving your friends and colleagues squarely unimpressed with your choice in handsets.
