Samsung Omnia is Pretty Close to Perfect

Whatever your prejudice may be to Windows Mobile devices, the Samsung Omnia wants you to change your mind. On the outside, this 3.2-inch touch-screen phone is just another iPhone clone, Instinct 2, if you will. Omnia’s features, though, is on a league of its own.
Motorola in Deeper Problems
Motorola stocks dipped to a five-year low in yesterday’s trading spelling more trouble to the beleaguered handset manufacturer. Moto plans to split into two companies, but whether the market will regain its confidence on Motorola after the split remains to be seen.
My on opinion? Moto’s handset division needs a buyer. Moto needs a major injection of new ideas. Right now, none of its current lineup of handsets seem formidable enough in the current mobile climate. The RAZR might have been Moto’s biggest success, but the line proved to be true to its name as it also spelled suicide for the company that just refused to accept the glory days are over.
Crank Cell Phone Chargers
I have had the chance of buying this novelty gadget, a crank LED flashlight but this is the first time I’ve seen a Crank LED Flashlight & Cell Phone Charger in one. I really had to blog about this because, well, talk about old school!
It’s a nice emergency gadget that you can have around, I mean imagine yourself in place without any electrical socket though you have brought your mobile phone charger and you REALLY need to make an emergency phone call.
Rogers launch official new BlackBerry plans
Rogers has just released a slew of new BlackBerry data plans for your emailing and browsing pleasure. There’s still no unlimited BIS option, which is a bit confounding given the upcoming unlimited iPhone Data plan, but this is Rogers after all, so we’re not terribly shocked. The new plans breakdown as follows:
$30 - 300 MB
$60 - 1 GB
$80 - 3 GB
$100 - 6 GB
Viigo BerryReview Editon
BlackBerry RSS Reader & More.
I know many of use Viigo already while some of you are even using the new Viigo Project Tango Beta. We have been playing with this idea for awhile and thought it would be great to create a BerryReview branded version of Viigo. I use Viigo practically every day while riding the subway and have been a fan since the early days (remember those?) when it was called NewsClip.
Since Viigo/NewsClip was first released back in 2005 Viigo has grown into the leading RSS and mobile content viewer for the BlackBerry OS. Viigo truly makes BerryReview portable. Our full content RSS feeds, including images, maintain their look and format perfectly in Viigo. Viigo also lets you easily open each article to view the mobile version of the BerryReview website. Their upcoming Project Tango really promises to impress. I can’t wait to see how podcasts work in future versions.

Sadly there is no BerryReview branded Tango beta but once Tango is out of beta it will be available. We will also (hopefully) start recommending some great RSS feeds to add to Viigo. We are planning this release so that we can offer you an interactive mobile experience when the more customizable Project Tango is released.
Now You Can Send Files, Pictures, & Voice With RIM’s Google Talk Client
I was messaging a friend tonight and all of a sudden noticed a new menu option in the RIM Google Talk Client. It was titled “Send Media.” I checked multiple times previously and it was never there before.

If you choose file it takes you to the browse file system. Practically the same for pictures thought it adds an option to take a picture from the camera. the problem is that when you take the picture it does not take you back to Google Talk. The last option lets you have walkie talky conversations by sending voice notes back and forth.
